Review: This garment made me incredibly happy. For a long time I have wanted to create fabric designs using photography. I often take pictures of things and manipulate them with the intention of them being for fabric. My associate’s degree is in Fashion Design, and my husband and I own a photography business, so I get to combine my two passions with this site.
This design was extra special to me because all of the photographs used to create the prints are photos I took after our house and garage burned down. We unfortunately didn't have insurance, so not only were our belongings destroyed, but our life's savings literally burned to the ground.
I have an eye for noticing photographic compositions in pretty much everything, and I could not stop seeing all of these amazing photographs in the rubble that was our home. I kind of forgot how heartbroken I was, and was just excitedly taking photos, because somehow I found the burnt remains absolutely beautiful. I was determined to make something positive out of this tragedy, so I spent months pouring over these photos, editing them to how I saw it all in my mind. Bright, vivid colors that could be pulled out of charred wood, plastic, fabric, and paper.
So for this pullover I wanted the look to be bright, busy, and obnoxious. It was my way of flipping the chaotic mess of reality into a sort of chaos that had bright, cheerful colors and abstraction.
So I guess where I am going with this story is that it was really important for me to have the flexibility and ease to create the sense of chaos I was going for, as I had already poured a lot of time and effort into the images. It was also important that the print retained its photographic quality, which it did brilliantly. Every bit of it exceeded my expectations.
So thank you Artscow, even though this is just a piece of clothing it was really meaningful for me to be able to create something out of our loss. It makes me smile every single time I look at it! :D

Pros: You get to customize pretty much every bit of this garment. Every pattern piece can be customized, including the cuffs, drawstring, and inside lining of the hood! Again, the image quality is amazing. and the fabric is really nice, and super comfy. The construction is also very well done.

Cons: It was slightly more snug than I was expecting, but honestly that could have just been me deluding myself into thinking I was smaller than I am. So I just recommend taking the time to accurately measure yourself, and consider how you would like the piece to fit you.

Bottom Line: It's awesome, make yourself one. Plus the price is very reasonable and they always have coupon codes!.

Review: The quality of these are beautiful. I am a nature photographer so I ordered two of them with a lightning photo and a fox photo. Great quality, great lines, they did a good job with placement where I asked with minimal trimming. They are soft. My complaint is that I ordered Women's Large and they fit my pre-teen daughters... I usually wear a medium, but a large for sweaters. I can get them on, but they are way too tight. Please make better note of sizing measurements!.
